“Drier January” – Lower Alcohol Wines

How are those New Year’s resolutions going?  Many people elect to have a healthier start to the new year with exercise and a better diet.  Within that group, there are a lot of people that also like to participate in “Dry January” where they abstain from alcohol for the month.  It is a good way of cutting out calories and not making bad food decisions after a glass too many!

The Christmas markets in Europe are something we love to visit. The markets evoke all of the senses with the beautiful lights, the holiday smells and great holiday treats to try. One of the things we like to enjoy is the warm mulled wine. It warms you up from the inside out when it is cold. It has great spiced flavors from cinnamon, cloves and star anise.

Kosher Wines for Hanukkah

With the holiday season upon us, Wine Curations would like to help everyone find wines for the different holiday gatherings they may be attending this year.  We have Hanukkah starting on December 10 through December 18.  Then, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be December 24th and 25th.  Finally, we will be celebrating the arrival of 2021 on December 31 and January 1.  There are a lot of festivities to look forward to!

Picking out wines for the Thanksgiving table can be a daunting task.  There is usually a smorgasbord of food to choose from so how do you pair a wine to go with them all?  Our recommendation is to have at least a couple of options since everyone usually has their own preferences on what they would like to have.  All of our recommendations are food friendly wine varietals that should not overwhelm any of the traditional Thanksgiving foods.
